Mycenaean Piriform Jar Dating Back To The Late Bronze Age? Estate Find Avid Cool
The image shows a Mycenaean piriform jar, dating back to the Late Bronze Age (1600- 1100 BC). These jars were widespread in the Mycenaean period and used for everyday life and placed in tombs. Since I’m not sure of its origin, I am pricing it as if it were a vintage reproduction It came from a collection of an older gentleman who was a dentist. He passed away 12 years ago.

The vase meas. approx. 6.75" x 5". The necklace meas. approx. 68". The ring meas. approx. size 6.5. Items were as found together from an estate. The necklace has some bent wire areas. The vase rims have some very shallow glaze chip areas. The ring has some inside band heavy wear patina tarnish. These items have wear consistent with age/use.
